Unreal engine

Hello,

we have developed a VR game and would like to grant a partner the right to exploit and/or sell the licence exclusively to VR Arcade centers.

We get confused about the licence since from your EULA :
“You agree to pay Epic a royalty equal to 5% of all worldwide gross revenue actually attributable to each Product, regardless of whether that revenue is received by you or any other person or legal entity”

1/ we would like you to confirm who have to pay unreal engine’s royalties?
2/ if a future partner sells a package including a play session and snacking, on what part the royalties will apply?

Thanks in advance for your reply

Best regards

  1. Any party that receives revenue for the Product.

  2. [EDITED TO CORRECT INACCURACY] The price to play the game would be considered revenue subject to royalty payments. To the extent that the price is inseparable other benefits, e.g., snacks, we would have to consider the entire price as game revenue.
