Trying to overlay an animation is blowing up my character

TLDR Trying to get a lean blendspace to apply via additive blend not working. (in blueprints)

I am building a (Arma style) Lean left and right system using an animated blend screen. What I don’t really know how to do is to have this blend space overlay on top of the current system. It seems to be taking scale and translation data with it and so the character blows up.

As a back up, I plan on using (Transform modify bone) to do this more procedural but I would really like to use animation.

This lean system is my current example but I plan on using this a good deal for stuff like breathing for shooter accuracy and the like so if someone has a higher overview of the concept I would appreciate it very much!
