Wheels of vehicle sink through the ground

OK, I know this has been asked multiple times, but any proposed solution hasn’t worked so far for me.
So, I have a rigged vehicle, and all the joints in the rig are oriented correctly. I’ve tried every single orientation variation there is. I’ve redone the rig multiple times. The Engine still won’t acknowledge the existence of the wheels.
I’ve also named them correctly and in the right order in the vehicle movement component.
What’s worse, everything is working fine on the simple vehicle mesh I used for testing purposes. The settings are pretty much identical.

I’m really pulling my hair here. I’ve absolutely no idea what’s wrong. If anyone has any information, please post.
