Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

Best way to import and setup hundreds of animated objects?

I'm working on a building construction sequenced animation. I'm animating all the objects in 3ds max. For the first set of animation I got away with grouping some of the objects. But recently 3ds Max groups keeps breaking my animations. Now this is a 3ds max problem, but I'm curious if there is a work around in UE4? I need to be able to take hundreds of meshes, and sync them with their animated sequences. If i have to do this manually it will take me forever. Is there a way to solve my issue in UE4, or a recommendation for doing lots of individual animated objects in 3ds max? Maybe a way to use blueprints to find the sequence for each mesh and attach them?

Product Version: UE 4.21
