Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

Problems with Translucency when importing Mixamo-Character

(Same with 4.21 and 4.17)

When I import the character, it looks like this: alt text I thought this could be a problem with the material and I saw the whole material has been set to translucent. But when I set the hair material to translucent, it doesn't look like hair anymore, so I set the hair to translucent and the body and clothes to opaque.alt text I think there are a few polygon errors at the gloves, but I could remove them (sculp them out) with blender if that would solve the problem. But the face, the eyelashes and the glasses just look horrible.! I mean, this is the character in fuse: alt text And this is the character in ue4:alt text or this if the glasses are translucent too:alt text I also recognized that not all links in the material can be used at the same time, maybe this could be part of the problem. I tested using a custom character from fuse, upload it to mixamo, rig it there and download it and I tested using a premade character from mixamo and I tested exporting the character directly from fuse. I also tested to import all and imported just the mesh and the sceletal mesh. There's also no difference in using UE version 4.21 (daily driver) or 4.17.
Hope someone can help, Johann.

Edit: I don't wanna say the character in UE looks generally bad, I just wonder if there are solutions for the eyelids, which are part of the body material and the translucent, brown glasses. I also found out that the problem with the polys are a mixamo problem and has nothing to do with ue4.
