Client not spawning correctly

Hi All,

Well, I’m in a bit of a pickly and hoping somebody can shed some light on my issue.

I’ve just got back into UE4 from a bit of a break, I had all my old projects saved (good and working).

Project = Multiplayer Racing - Lan/Ip/Steam - now all 3 modes were fine on the last saves and backups, I have about 8 different version I backed up, all with different updates to them as I progressed and learnt a little more.

Since returning to UE4, with 4.18 and the latest 4.21 installed I have tried these projects on both and for some reason when the host clicks start game, the client doesnt spawn correctly and seems to be static with no playercontroller I think or movement at all, the client can see the host moving around on the map but the host cannot see the client.

At first I thought this was my old version or something, so i tried the static 4.18 and still the same, this is really wierd as like I say I have many backups (I;m a sucker for backups) and they all give this same problem.

Just to explain the process of how this happens.

1.Host… Hosts the game
2.Client Joins the game
3.Both players appear in Lobby fine, both players can select their vehicles and both players can see each other in the map perfectly.
4.Host starts the game (map loads) and this scenario happens of no client control or car in scene.

I’m really baffled here as I’ve changed nothing but now it’s doing this, any help on this would be really appreciated.

Update++

A friend found an old compiled version from begging of last year and this does the same, now that’s really strange?

Anybody help on this? tried all sorts but same result
