Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

Paragon Asset Credits

I am creating a game and have decided to include the Marketplace Paragon characters as bonus characters to unlock through play. I wanted to make it known to the end user that these characters were not created by me but are instead guest characters from Paragon.

I wanted to let the end-user know by having a UI stamp next to the character with the Paragon logo with the text "Guest Character". I understand the licensing around the Paragon characters and how we can use them but not the Paragon branding but is there anyway I can let people know in-game these characters are from Paragon and not created by me?

Thanks, Ryan

I understand from this https://answers.unrealengine.com/questions/843198/view.html?sort=oldest that you cannot use the Paragon logo but is there someone I can talk to about using it in the way stated above? I'm not using it for personal use but instead, I'm using it as "Hey, Epic Games made this".

Alternatively, if I can't use the Paragon logo - would it be possible to use the Epic Games logo, if I clearly marked that this isn't their seal of approval but these characters originate from Epic Games?

I understand if I need to talk more privately about this use case but I'd like to know the limitations so I can work this into the design of my game.

You can't indicate or suggest that Epic Games was involved in your game in any way. Saying that this is a "guest character" created by Epic Games may create some confusion along these lines. In addition, we don't offer trademark licenses to our Paragon or Epic Games logos. Stating that the characters were not created by you, without using any Epic logos, would be fine.
