Why not fix UE-66417?

Why UE-66417 is marked as ‘Won’t fix?’ (Unreal Engine Issues and Bug Tracker (UE-66417))

Does UE4.21 and onward require different controller setup to work properly? If yes, then which changes compared to UE4.20 are needed?

Maybe Epic thinks google needs to fix it - I worked around it by just using a normal stock standard Unreal motion controller component and attaching the daydream mesh to it.
