Which Quadro videocard is best?

We have a few machines at the office with P5000s. Ridiculously expensive but we had to get them for enterprise support. Basically it’s a 1080ti and is pretty amazing but around 3x the price.

So, I was asked which video card to choose when it comes to Unreal 4 development. Since videocard specs are for the most part alien to me, I figured I should ask here. I was asked which one of the two videocards would be best to use in conjunction with Unreal 4 engine usage. Sorry if some of the terms are off, as I am translating them from Japanese:

1. Quadro P4000

Memory: 8GB GDDR5 SDRAM

Interface: 256 bit

Bandwidth: 243GB/s at best

2. Quadro RTX4000

Memory: 8GB GDDR6

Interface: 256 bit

Bandwidth: 416GB/s

Now, I know that Quadro cards are not optimal for use with Unreal 4 and that I am better off with a GTX instead. The problem here is that this is meant for classroom use, and since the school focuses on CG they prefer to have Quadro cards rather than GTX at the moment (their CG curriculum at the moment eclipses their game development classes, hence the preference). Which is why I don’t need any advice in the vein of “get a GTX instead.”

Quadro P4000 vs Quadro RTX4000? Performance-wise the RTX is closer to P6000, the P4000 is no match, really.

Thanks, much appreciated.

Benchmarks, just in case:

Did not realise the RTX is such a powerhouse, actually.
