Fixed Camera Follow Via Spline

I’m trying to create a game with a fixed camera like Pokémon but I have no idea where to start on getting the camera to follow the player along the spline I created, can anybody help

Thank you in advance

Let me YT that for you ;), lucky first hit:

Thanks but I don’t think that tutorial will work with the style I’m going for because I’m trying to create an rpg with a pokemon like camera system and I don’t think that tutorial will work with that

The link was just to demonstrate that you did not do any research before posting. Apologies for being a tad mean but you deserved it

a fixed camera like Pokémon

Perhaps you could explain what you mean. I’ve never played a single Pokémon title and have absolutely no idea how cameras work in those games (how many are there even!?). You’ve done no research yourself but you’re asking us here to do it for you - unfair.

Also, I disagree. The tutorial may not show what you want precisely (how could we know that) but it does explain how to set up a camera-spline system. Do expect that you will need to modify any and all tutorials that you find to meet your needs.

It’s externally unlikely you will find a plug & play solution, especially knowing how camera collision probes work in UE4.

I’ll try that tutorial, but for the record, I did do research and I had found that tutorial before hand, I actually used the UE4 answers as a last resort

Can you show a YT video of the camera setup you’re trying to replicate?
