[Request] Blueprint custom categories

I would like to create custom categories in Blueprints so i could organize all the variables nicely. If its already available please let me know how to create new categories.

Hi Satheesh,

In Beta 3 categories are created by creating a new variable and going into its’ details. In the details, there is a “Category” property. You can type in a new category name and it will be created with the variable in it.

I have created a feature request for a “Create New Category” button based on this issue. Thank you for your feedback.

Hi Satheesh,

You can already categorize any variables you have added to your blueprint. Select the variable in the “My Blueprint” panel, and inside the “Details” panel, you can edit the category:

I saw the category property but i thought it was a non editable dropdownlist. Thanks both of you guys!

Bug REPORT: in the current version if you update the category at a later point, the details page on my main window (details to a specific instance selected in Scene Outliner) wont update the categories unless I completely restart the program.

REQUEST: It would be nice to be able to hide categories from the UI depending on the status of a variable in the blueprint. For example, I have a UI_Button blueprint. If the user sets IsChangingColors, then the category for color could appear.
