Flame Thrower when character moves

Hi,

I’m trying to make a flame thrower in Cascade in a top down twin stick game.
The problem is when che character moves or rotate and I can’t figure how to keep che flames motion consistent.

If I use world particles and I move forward che character goes into the particles and similar inconsistent problems.
If I use local particles the flame is alsways a straight line.

Also I would to detect the damage area.

Do you have some some advice to solve the problem?

What kind of style the game have? Maybe using a mesh instead of particles?

Hi, the problem is not the style but have a coherent motion while character is moving.
