How do I blend multiple SRC's over 1 model?

Hey there!

I have a scene with a single, big, space-station model. For the reflections to match I need 40+ Scene Reflection Capture actors scattered around the station. Currently the entire space-station only uses 1 of the 40 SRC actors as its reflection. I’ve seen examples where multiple SRC’s are blended over a single model.

Some question’s:

  • Why isn’t the model using blended
    SRC actors?
  • Have I disabled a setting that causes
    this?
  • Does it have anything to do with the
    complexity of the model?
  • Does the Static/Stationary/Dynamic setting of the model influence how SRC’s are used?

If I can give any addional info that would explain the reflection behavior, please ask. I also want to note that at some point it was working as expected, but only recently started acting as it is now. I have also made a simple scene with a simple model that is showing the same behavior.

Thanks in advance,

-Felix

I’ve been searching and found someone with a similar problem

I’m enabling the “high quality reflections” on all my materials. I’ll report back shortly!

Enabling “high quality reflections” solved the issue!

The alpha value corresponds to the ratio of SRC on DST in Porter and Duff equations. I see this website because I need help to write my paper. But here I found your question and I like your question so joined this discussion. I post my view about it and I hope it will helpful for you.
