RootMotion Anim Preview

Hello,

I tried to find the answer on the forum but couldn’t find something specific enough to fit my needs.

So I’m currently trying to understand the basics of root motion animations. I want to use some of the Paragon assets to be able to understand the full concept.

I am trying to get a TurnInPlace animation Sequence with root motion. Some of them like Gideon or Gadget seems to have what I need (Turn_Right_90 / Turn_Right_180 Etc).

So on the anim Preview I check EnableRootMotion and in the character menu I tick Process Root Motion.

But, nothing change, the preview stay on that weird state where the character is making that weird movement to the Right or Left but doesn’t turn on himself to reach a 90 or 180° angle. What am I missing there ?

I’m pretty sure I’m silly at one point but I can’t figue it out by myself. Only think I can think of for this not working,This are not root motion animations and to use it correctly you need to change the animation by turning the root bone at every layer. That I could do but it would be time consuming if my mistake is somewhere else.
