Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

[Request] add option to remove blue text "paused" in set pause blueprint

hi epic, can you pls add option in pause blueprint, to disable showing on top blue message "paused" on center of screen. thx

in the source code, if you search for the function: UGameplayStatics::SetGamePaused(

you can add the following line as the first line in the at the top of the function:

 GEngine->GameViewport->SetSuppressTransitionMessage(true);

that should remove the blue "paused' message.

or if you want to be able to toggle this message for some reason, you can add another bool named "bTextVisible" to the function parameters .h and .cpp:

in UGameplayStatics.CPP:

 bool UGameplayStatics::SetGamePaused(UObject* WorldContextObject, bool bPaused, bool bTextVisible)
     {
     GEngine->GameViewport->SetSuppressTransitionMessage(bTextVisible);


in UGameplayStatics.h:

 static bool SetGamePaused(UObject* WorldContextObject, bool bPausedbool, bool bTextVisible);

There is now a blueprint node that removes the blue text such as Paused (SuppressTransitionMessage) : alt text

Hey zip,

We have this in our feature request database already, and the developers are working towards a blueprint solution. In the meantime, Omnicypher's solution should work if you are using a code based project. Thanks for the feedback!
