How to record gameplay to sequencer with interactive materials

Hello, I’m using the sequence recorder to record a first person game play animation of an arch viz scene.

The scene has interactive materials that can be switched between and marker icons with a rotation animation applied to them.

The problem i’m running into is that every time i try to record the sequence it only captures the camera movement and not the interactive material swaps or the rotation animation applied to the point of interest markers. In the PIE window the level plays fine and i can see the materials swapping and rotating animation of the markers however the sequence recorder doesn’t seem to be capturing this. What am i doing wrong?
