I have not been able to get the EpicGamesLauncher.exe to install or run on my Laptop for several months now. I’m not sure what caused the problem, but it hasn’t been addressed anywhere I have been able to discover.
The current version was installed from EpicInstaller-9.11.2.msi.
The installer seems to finish fine. But upon loading the EpicGamesLauncher.exe (32 or 64-bit) The Launcher never finishes loading. The Task Bar shows the icon appears for < 0.1 second and then disappear for about the same and then re-appear, and then disappear, etc. etc. Until I kill the EpicGamesLauncher.exe in the Task Manager. I’ve tried several clean installs.
Steam, Uplay, Battle.net all launch fine. Only the Epic Games Launcher will not launch.
Any help would be appreciated.

Same issues man. It’s really unacceptable and I’m close to giving up on the launcher and Borderlands 3 release.
Changing the properties of the launcher and adding “-OpenGL” at the end of the launcher location has helped resolve the issue for many users. Follow the steps given below for detailed instructions
Go the Desktop where the shortcut for the launcher is
Right-click the Epic Games Launcher and select Properties
Right Click Epic Games Launcher and Select Properties To Change Shortcut Path
Now locate the Target field (make sure the Shortcut tab is selected) and add “-OpenGL” (without quotes) at the end of the target field. Type “-OpenGL” (without quotes). The contents of the Target field should look like this “C:\Program Files (x86)\Epic Games\Launcher\Portal\Binaries\Win32\EpicGamesLauncher.exe” –OpenGL
Click Ok then select Apply
That´s what i did and it worked
That doesn’t work. The icon no longer flashes in the taskbar, but still will not open the launcher.
