I’m working on a game and just imported some models to it, but for some reason a weird texture appears on them but then when I shine my in game flashlight on them the texture goes to what it should look like. Not only is this happening to that model but it is also happening to unreal engine’s mannequin model.
the texture is of a sky that I had previously had on, I changed it a while ago
thats what it looks like when the flashlight is on. If it matters my game also has a lot of fog.
You would need to edit the material to add roughness and maybe reduce metallic and specular
I would maybe first confirm that’s the issue. Try changing the ground to a solid texture and if it goes away then that would confirm it.
That must not be the problem, because even when i change the ground nothing happens. I’m still pretty sure that the texture appearing is an old sky texture
