Emissive and Opacity Textures cannot be Exported or Resized

When you try to export emissive or opacity textures UE creates .T3D files, with filesize below 3KB. If you try to use ImageResizer on these type of textures UE crashes.

Steps to reproduce, try above.

Can we please fix this for once???

To fix circumvent any texture issues, the Bake out Materials option inside the SMesh panel generates textures which are completely compatible and optimized.

Baking out textures won’t help you fix an issue where you can’t export the source texture. If you purchase content from the marketplace and want to export the opacity texture to edit it, you can’t do this for some reason.

I know it’s not ideal, but what I’ve done in a pinch is open up the opacity texture in the texture browser by double clicking on it, then tear off the view by clicking on the yellow/orange corner on the left to show the tab and then drag that tab out so you can view it full screen. This will fit the texture at 1033x1033 if you have a 1080p monitor and you can then take a screen shot of it and save it as a 1024x1024 texture that you can then re-import into UE4. It’s the best workaround I’ve come up with.
