Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

Push Notification on iOS

Hello, I cannot find anything online about push notification on iOS. Is this something currently supported in Unreal Engine 4? If yes can you please post a link or something on how I could make a push notification. Blueprint or code, It doesn't matter.

Thank you.

Any updates on documentation on this subject?

It's still on our to do list. UEDOC-2332 is set at a Normal priority of 3 which means critical issues will come before this.

Thank you!

Any update on this? It's been quite a few months, and I still see no mention anywhere on how to use notifications

avatar image Samantha Sutton ♦♦ STAFF Jul 22 '16 at 02:58 PM

We're still working on push notification documentation/guide. We do not have a date set at this time.

Thanks!

Hey Titirez5,

We do not currently have any support for push notifications. The developers plan to work on it, but probably not until the end of the year. Thanks for your patience!

Hi Ben, is there any new update on this feature? Cheers

We have not yet implemented anything for this. It will most likely be a post-GDC feature.

gdc passed already and apns and gcm are still missing(

I have been integrating a pull request which implemented push notifications. However, it didn't make it the 4.8 cutoff. If you wish to pull it in to your version of the build, look at this link:

https://github.com/EpicGames/UnrealEngine/pull/981

The github link is dead. Any chance you could reshare? Has this made 4.9?

avatar image Samantha Sutton ♦♦ STAFF Oct 01 '15 at 09:19 PM

Revick,

This made it into the 4.9.2 release, have you upgraded to 4.9.2 yet?

Thanks!

Thanks - any notes/tutorial on implementation?

avatar image Samantha Sutton ♦♦ STAFF Oct 08 '15 at 07:12 PM

There aren't any documents released yet on this however I see that we're working on documentation. UEDOC-2332 is currently unresolved and waiting for triage.

Thanks!
