Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

Packaging Failed!

Hello everyone, I'm very new to game development with unreal engine and have only been using it for a couple of days, and since I started following a TwinStickShooter tutorial on UE youtube channel I've encountered an error while trying to package the project for Windows (64-bit) or launch the level of the project.

Here's what I find in the log by typing "error" in the search:

LogWindows: Failed to load '../../../Engine/Binaries/ThirdParty/libsndfile/Win64/libsndfile-1.dll' (GetLastError=126) MapCheck: Map check complete: 0 Error(s), 0 Warning(s), took 0,102ms to complete. UATHelper: Packaging (Windows (64-bit)): ERROR: No target name was specified on the command-line. PackagingResults: Error: No target name was specified on the command-line. UATHelper: Packaging (Windows (64-bit)): ERROR: UnrealBuildTool failed. See log for more details. (C:\Users\Isla\AppData\Roaming\Unreal Engine\AutomationTool\Logs\D+UnrealEngine+UE_4.22\UBT-Test-Win64-Development.txt) PackagingResults: Error: UnrealBuildTool failed. See log for more details. (C:\Users\Isla\AppData\Roaming\Unreal Engine\AutomationTool\Logs\D+UnrealEngine+UE_4.22\UBT-Test-Win64-Development.txt) PackagingResults: Error: Unknown Error

I have no idea what could be a possible cause, I have visual studio 2017 and all necessary packages and plugins installed.

As for the attempt of launching the level:

LogPlayLevel: Setting up ProjectParams for D:\UnrealEngine\UE_4.22\Projects\Test\Test.uproject LogPlayLevel: STAGE COMMAND STARTED LogPlayLevel: Error: ERROR: Stage Failed. Missing receipt 'D:\UnrealEngine\UE_4.22\Projects\Test\Binaries\Win64\Test.target'. Check that this target has been built. LogPlayLevel: (see C:\Users\Isla\AppData\Roaming\Unreal Engine\AutomationTool\Logs\D+UnrealEngine+UE_4.22\Log.txt for full exception trace) LogPlayLevel: AutomationTool exiting with ExitCode=103 (Error_MissingExecutable) LogPlayLevel: Completed Launch On Stage: Build Task, Time: 1.256204 LogPlayLevel: Completed Launch On Stage: Deploy Task, Time: 0.000050 LogPlayLevel: BUILD FAILED PackagingResults: Error: Launch failed! Missing UE4Game binary. You may have to build the UE4 project with your IDE. Alternatively, build using UnrealBuildTool with the commandline:

As mentioned before I'm a complete beginner who only worked with software like cinema4d and maya before so I have no knowledge required to even guess a possible cause so any help will be appreciated, thanks in advance.
