I drop a BSP box into my level, go to Geometry Editing, select a face and try to move the face to resize the box.
It does not work.
The face is indeed highlighted but the gizmo stays in the center of the cube.
I can not extrude the face either, which indicates that while I think the face is selected, it indeed is not really.
I can select vertices and edges fine, only get the problem with faces.
This must come from an Editor preference, but I can not tell which.
Replacing the Config folder in my project’s folder does not fix the problem.
Translucent selection being bound to the T key by default cost me something like 20 minutes trying to figure out why I couldn’t select and move BSP faces anymore. If you happen to accidentally randomly press T, you just screw yourself up in a way that’s impossible to notice or realize until you happen upon this very AnswerHub post. ■■■■, that was frustrating!
Thanks for the tip! To aid in anyone else who runs into this problem, I’ll specifically say that it solved the issue of BSP geometry box face editing not working. Hopefully that’s enough “SEO.”
