technically yes you can
but it’s a gigantic effort to do so
I wouldn’t recommend it.

In my mind you have two options:

  • Fake it, often you don’t really need physics, it should just look like physics
  • Find a way to use the default physics system

I’m trying to create game with ships but It’s hard to do with default physics so here is question Can I create custom physics?
