Make a linear spline mesh

Hi I’m trying to set up a rail grinding system like Tony Hawk, and so far it’s working great but I’d really like to have singular spline meshes that don’t have any sort of curve to them, just travels from point to point linearly. I’ve tried setting the point types to linear, and I’ve tried zeroing the tangents. Everything I do looks like this:

when I’d like it to look like this:
