Movement in template project not smooth after packaging

The movement of pawns is smooth when running in editor, but not after I package it and run it standalone. I found the same problem also happens in the template projects, such as Flying, Twin Stick Shooter, and Vehicle.

The most obvious one may be the Twin Stick Shooter. I record it in the following video.

If you look at the text “twin sticker” carefully, it’s like one or two frames are lost in every 1 or 2 seconds.
In this video, I also changed to a very low setting but the problem still exists.

Detailed steps:

  1. Create a Twin Stick Shooter template project.
  2. In project launcher, choose the default windows profile.
  3. Run the game exe in Saved\StagedBuilds\WindowsNoEditor

Hardware: Intel Core i5-7600 3.50GHz; GTX 1050 Ti; Memory 8 GB

System: Windows 10 x64

hey Jianyu Lu, im running on same problem, since 2 years ago, now than i’m packaging I remember this issue, have you figure it out yet? I’m thinking probably the video card? I have NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060, and get same laggy camera result

Unfortunately, I didn’t figure it out in the end. My video card is GTX 1050 Ti. I think our video cards are quite common. UE4 shouldn’t have problems running games on them, but I still don’t know what could be the reason.

There’s a fps lock in the project settings no one talks about xD or I was not aware, I bump it up to more than 30 fps and now is running smooth :], hope it helps
