I use the Launch Character node and the Z axis is set to 0. Even so, when launching a target, the Velocity of the target’s Z axis will still be negative and not equal to 0. Why?

The Launch Character node gives 1 immediate impulse, then automatically your Character Movement Mode changes to “Falling”.
I think the negative Z velocity is caused by gravity and “Falling”.
Perhaps, try it in zero gravity (on your Physics Capsule and your Character Movement Component)
