Wrong image on scene capture 2D

As you can see in the attached image, I’m getting a completely different image in the render target from the on in the viewport. It seems that, for some reason, the laces in the shoe appear below the shoe itself (yellow) while the expected result would be to appear on top (blue).

This doesn’t to be a problem specific to the editor, because using FRenderTarget#readPixels and dumping the content to file yelds the same results circled in yellow.

I’m not doing anything fancy, what I did was:

  1. Empty scene
  2. Import from FBX
  3. Use substance textures
  4. Create a capture scene 2D
  5. Create a render target for that capture scene

Am I doing anything wrong or could it be a bug?

Environment:

  • Mac OSX Mojave
  • Vulkan
  • Radeon Pro 555X

Jeff, thanks for the link. After opening the bug report (Case # 00116711) I’ve found out that it is duplicate from Unreal Engine Issues and Bug Tracker (UE-28468) . However, I can’t seem to find my open case anywhere so I can close it. Any ideas on how to do it?

This is a known issue, to fix it just set the scene capture to “capture every frame”.
