Failed to open descriptor file '../../../TS2Prototype/TS2Prototype.uproject'

Hello,
Before I start off, I know there are other threads that cover this topic, yet after looking through many posts, have been unable to find a solution. And since this is my first time posting, this is most likely under the wrong section. I apologize for that. Backstory: I own a game on Steam called Train Sim World which runs on Unreal Engine. Which version? No idea. I am traveling and decided to install it on my Windows 7 laptop as I have it installed at home on Windows 10 with no problems at all, as I played it the day before leaving. After the longest 3-6ish hours of my life, it was installed, the next day (today) I decided to play it. As I started the game, I was approached by the following error: “Failed to open descriptor file ‘…/…/…/TS2Prototype/TS2Prototype.uproject’”.

After seeing this error, I went to the folder where the problematic file is located according to the error. I was unable to find the file even with “Show hidden files” enabled in File Explorer settings.

I have tried many solutions that have helped others with their similar problem, only one problem though, it’s their OWN program that is having trouble. Any help would be appreciated!

Hello,

For issues with games made in UE4 you will need to reach out to the developers that created the game.
Answerhub is a place for people to get help using the Unreal Editor to make games. Not games already made with it.
