Custom Depth buffer not working for mobile

Hello,

When I preview a simple scene in the editor using SM5 and select to visualise the captured depth buffer I see my objects correctly rendered. (screen 1).

When I view the same buffer but preview GL3.1 i.e mobile, the buffer is filled with high values and appears all white. I also observe the same on an actual device (iPhone XS). (screen 2)

Am I doing something wrong here, I am doing something wrong? I expect mobile to show to the same results as SM5.

Also, I have tested this in 4.23 and I get the same results.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
