Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

How viable is a 2012 MBP for iOS UE4 dev?

Hi,

I have a 2012 MacBook Pro specs 2.5GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 processor (Turbo Boost up to 3.1GHz) with 3MB L3 cache 8GB of 1600MHz DDR3 memory Intel HD Graphics 4000.

Looking at questions already asked about the intel 3000, it looks like this might be underpowered for UE4. How viable is it to use this setup to do development for iOS specifically? Would it be practical or possible to reduce the editors graphics requirements, so this could be a workable system? Would I be tearing my hair out? ;)

Thanks

I've tried an HD4000, it works OK for very simple scenes with all the bells and whistles turned down. It was rather frustrating though.
