Saving Material Changes takes far too long

When hitting save or apply in Material editor (4.22), I get the message “Apply changes to original material and its use in the world” which hangs at 100% for a good 40-60 seconds, regardless of whether the material is used in the world or not.

I’m still experiencing this bottleneck in 4.22 Anyone else having this issue, or have a workaround?

Solved - Incredibuild was killing Unreal. Forcing a shader recompile every small change that was made in the material editor, even before hooking nodes up to the output.

I’m not sure what incredibuild is or where it came from, but it doesn’t play well with UE4

Uninstalled Incredibuild and now all is good again :slight_smile:
