Making a hole material

I am trying to create custom 300x300 material holes in ground meshes I have in various places… I do not need to alter the collision of the ground or change the object. I am just wondering If unreal has a way for me to create a subtraction material that can be applied to a cube or a decal so i can render material transparent in any area I want to. Now, if this is possible, I run into an additional issue when I want to place detailed flooring tile over the now negative space. I wouldn’t want that to disappear as well.

I know that’s probably a little confusing to some… I did my best to word it clearly.
