I understand this has been discussed previously (link text) but it looks like the links are now dead and need updating so I’m looking for updated help with 4.21 please.
I support hundreds of computers at a university where the users aren’t administrators, so each time the launcher runs and tries to update itself, the students ask me for my credentials to complete the update. Sure, we could just ignore the update but I’d really like to sort this out at source so I can get on with my other work.
Could anyone provide me with some insight as to how best to disable the auto launching of the launcher when running a direct shortcut to the editor? I checked the editor.cpp for the line “DesktopPlatform->OpenLauncher( false, TEXT(”“) );” but can’t find anything.
I’m running the standard installer supplied by the website.
