Build failed error code 1073741515

Hi, First of all, I’m not a programmer. I don’t even know abc of programming.

I’m trying to build version 4.3.0 on Visual Studio Express 2013 using video tutorials from epic. But I’m getting errors. I have compiled it before without any error. But when I try to build it now, I get error. Output is given below:

I have reinstalled my windows and now facing this error. Please research the output and help me asap. I think I’m missing something here.

That looks like UHT has crashed.

Do you have the DirectX runtimes installed? http://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/download/details.aspx?id=8109

If so, can you try running UHT (UE4/Engine/Binaries/Win64/UnrealHeaderTool.exe) manually via explorer to see if it reports any errors.

Oh, I think that’s the real problem. I have forgot to install DirectX runtimes after I reinstalled my windows. Will install that and try in a few minutes.

By the way, I have compiled UE4 a few times. But never get the android packaging options. Do I have to configure something on the compilation to get the android options?

You need to have the Android SDK installed before you see the packaging options for Android.

Yeah, you need the Android SDK to be able to build the AndroidTargetPlatform modules, so you’ll need to install it before you build (or just build again after installing it).
