Collision on Speedtree trees bug?

It seems as though I’ve run into a bug with the free speedtree assets. I’m in the early stages of making a game with the Top Down template (have implemented lots of things) and I tried to put a speedtree tree into the scene to make it look nicer, however when I try to click underneath it (through the leaves) the ‘Get hit result under cursor by objects’ cast hits the tree. I have already removed the two sphere collision prims that the tree comes with (leaving only the trunk capsule collision prim) and it still hits the leaves, I have tried reimporting the model, removing all collision and replacing the capsule collision prim for the trunk, and no matter what I try, the cursor channel cast still hits the leaves?

Does anyone know how to fix this whether its a bug or not?

Thanks.

Is it possible that it is hitting actual geometry that isn’t visible due to the texture alpha?

Hi WarLord,

I’m following up to see if you are continuing to experience the problem with cursor channel cast still hitting the trees. If so, have you tried updating to the 4.6 version of the engine? This latest release contains a lot of fixes to reported bugs as well as a lot of great new features.

If you are not able to update or are still encountering the same problem after updating, please let us know by responding to this post and we will investigate the matter further.

Thanks
