[Global Post Process] My Bloom Settings Cant be saved

Additional issue Global Post Process is not properly saving changes that are made while the game is running, after carefully fine-tuning my settings during game play, I exited the game and the global pp reverted to settings before game starts

^4 = My Working Solution ! If I duplicate the post process after each series of changes I want to keep, then delete the old one, then my post process settings will last after quiting / restarting Rocket

minor visual bug: duplicating a global post process while in game does not cause the scene manager to update, showing that the new post process has been created

My next update:

I’ve tried making changings and renaming my global pp several times now, as per all of the below discoveries, but my global pp refuses to update the name or keep the changes, so I cannot make further progress with my use of the awesome bloom pp features at present.

Let me know if there’s a fix for this I can do! ^4

Global Post Process:

No matter what I do, in my officially named map that I use for my level, and that automatically loads in editor because I put in my .ini file,

no matter what,

I cannot save my bloom settings!

I have tried repeatedly changing the bloom threshhold to 0 and the brightness to say 2.

I’ve saved the level, exited, and when I re-enter the defaults are back.

I really need this to be fixed for my game as I use bloom extensively

I am loving Ue4 thank youuuuuu!

Rama

edit: Hmm, well when I clicked on the global process and then clicked save, it did save the threshold, but there were definitely several attempts I had to make to get the global post process to keep it’s settings during file saving

edit2: But my color grading choice did not save, even when click on global pp and then pressing ctrl + s

but the biggest issue, is that I lose the bloom tint choices, I have been carefully setting them but now they’re gone after saving, exiting rocket, and re-entering

Lighting in Ue4 so much fun  Thanks Epic Devs!

I originally posted this as an answer but its not quite workn for me

**^3** = Actually it only saves my renaming and therefore my new settings sometimes, so an easy way to quickly test this is to try renaming the global pp and see if the name sticks around next time you load rocket

^2 = actually if I re-rename the post process after making the changes I want to keep, then it does save **^ 3**, but there's definitely something a little strange going on here :)

*Well it only partly worked ^ 2

**Bloom tints 3, 4, 5 still dont seem to save, even if I re-rename the global post process**

~~

I found a temporary solution to my problem!

**If I rename the default global post process, then my settings save properly* **

So it sounds like internally the editor is re-setting the default global post process with each load to default values?

Hi Nathan,

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. I have investigated the issue and created a bug report. It has been brought to the attention of the developers. If there is anything else that is behaving unexpectedly, please let us know.

Thank you,

Alexander

Yay! Thanks Alexander!
