Shape traces with same start and end not detecting blocking hit after moving from 4.21 to 4.23

After moving to 4.23 from 4.21, all of my capsule and sphere traces by channel which had the same start and end location stopped detecting blocking hits.

The traces start working again if I provide a small offset to the vector.

I have seen one or two forum posts where people have mentioned the same problem, but there has been no response/solution to this.
