[CRASH] Landmass Layer + Editor Apply Spline

New layer system causes crash with Editor Apply Spline node

Steps to reproduce:

  1. enable landmass plugin
  2. create landscape with new layer system enabled
  3. create blueprint with spline that modifies or paints to the landscape via “Editor Apply Spline” node.
  4. Editor crashes

Error Message:
Assertion failed: !TargetProxy->HasLayersContent() || !InCanUseEditingWeightmap || EditingLayerGUID.IsValid() [File:D:/Build/++UE4/Sync/Engine/Source/Runtime/Landscape/Private/LandscapeEdit.cpp] [Line: 4811]

did you enter a valid layer name in the editor apply spline node? i just used this on a landscape in 4.26 and it works (i think i had crashes before with older unreal versions, thats why i havent used “edit layer” before, now i would do since it works…but now i cant enable edit layer for 8129x8129 landscapes without crashing…but thats a different issue
