Is it safe to delete asset pack files within a project?

I installed the official “Open World Demo Collection” asset packs for some of its vegetation. However, due to performance issues I had the idea to delete unnecessary folders so Unreal would not crash while inserting a tree.

So, is it safe to delete asset pack files within a project?

You can delete any folders you’re not using from within the content browser.

Don’t do it from windows. Even if you think you’re not using something, if the reference manager thinks you are, then you probably are…

The Assets and Project Settings folders are your project and are all you need to backup/put on SVN,etc. You can delete anything else. The Library folder will be recreated when you next open the project. [mcdvoice login][1]
