  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

Education Agreement

Under the Education Agreement, how is the software received and deployed? Also if we receive x number of licences, can additional licences be requested? Is the software provided on a subscription basis, i.e. does it time out after a set period of time? Is the licensing per computer or per student?

Hello SLP,

I will be happy to answer your questions:

Under the Education Agreement, how is the software received and deployed?

The faculty member that applied for the academic plan will receive "tokens" that are special codes which grant accounts subscription time. The staff will simply distribute the tokens to their students for them to apply to their accounts. They can also create accounts for their labs and classrooms.

Also if we receive x number of licences, can additional licences be requested?

Yes, additional licenses may be requested by academic institute as needed; We anticipate this will be needed commonly as semesters change.

Is the software provided on a subscription basis, i.e. does it time out after a set period of time?

Yes and no. It is just like a regular subscription to UE4, where the students will have access to UE4 after their subscriptions run out, but they will no longer receive updates.

Is the licensing per computer or per student?

Technically neither; Subscriptions are done per account. This is so it is easy to just give all accounts the same licensing as opposed to having "classroom licenses" and "student licenses." So instead licensing is done per account and we do not differentiate between "types" of accounts.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Cheers,

Alexander
