Indirect dynamic lighting

Hi All

I’m pretty new to the intricacies of dynamic lighting and I’ve run into a slight issue with the scene I’m working on. The scene lights great when using a %100 static solution, however there are a few doors which need to open/close and I’m unsure how to light them effectively. The scene only has one stationary light (the sun) and the rest of the lights are static. In the image below you can see that when I have the doors set to static, they light properly. When I change them (the doors) to moveable they let in unwanted indirect lighting. Is there some trick to lighting moveable doors correctly? I’ve tried nearly all the different shadow settings in both my sunlight and door actors.

Thanks!

Well with static lighting it can only ever bake down one lighting scenario. You can pick between whether the door blocks indirect lighting in that scenario or not. To have the door still block lighting even when Movable, check bLightAsIfStatic.
