Launcher won't start (Error code: 0xc000007b). DWalker doesn't help either?

Just so you know, this here doesn’t help me because DWalker gives out the following error:
[ ? ] c:\program files\unreal engine\launcher\engine\binaries\win64\UNREALENGINELAUNCHER.EXE Error opening file. Das System kann den angegebenen Pfad nicht finden (3).
Error: The file you specified to load could not be found.

I literally don’t know what to do because I haven’t seen anything about this. I have followed the instructions on the linked thread, but it doesn’t fix my issue. :expressionless:

Here’s the whole log file: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1oVB2djqYRP54i8Ta5F3sNBg9cmqB_3WzfpJi4YWzbQU/edit?usp=sharing

I am pretty clueless what to do because on my Mac it runs fine, but not on Windows. As I need the Unreal Engine for college, it would be nice if someone could help me fixing this issue soon!

I’m not familiar with Windows, but did you try starting it from console

Try installing the visual C++ all versions(both x86 and x64)the older versions from 2005 ,directx11,and .net. Repair or Reinstall your graphics driver.

I cannot even download the Engine without the launcher working, so that doesn’t help me, but thank you.

Doesn’t fix anything, I still get the same error.

Please see the website link

and visit the following link.

If reinstalling the directx did not work try the Dependency Walker method

Can I ask if you even read my original post?
I did what the linked post said yet it doesn’t fix the issue because DWalker doesn’t find those codes which the thread gives, only this:

error: [ ? ] c:\program files\unreal
engine\launcher\engine\binaries\win64\UNREALENGINELAUNCHER.EXE
Error opening file. Das System kann
den angegebenen Pfad nicht finden (3).
Error: The file you specified to load
could not be found.

Which is no where stated in the linked thread. I wouldn’t ask if I wouldn’t have tried to find solutions first.
I just ran it again to see if installing anything of the recommended tools would fix the issue, but it doesn’t. The log still says “The file you specified to load could not be found.”

then i would recommend that you mail them with the log attached or contact any staff directly via private message

I am actually waiting for that at the moment.

Well then good luck . If i could provide any info to U I shall surely do try and help. But , tell me one thing do U have any other big software
like games and all .Do you face problems with that . Please do reply .

I only have a few older games like Neverwinter Nights and Age of Empires II installed since this is a laptop I use for college purposes, but I have other bigger prorgrams like Autodesk 3DS Max installed.

So far I didn’t have any problems with running anything yet besides a small issue with Unity which I could fix with a bit of Google. Now Epic Games Launcher makes the only issue.

I am attaching a file with the list of programs on this PC, made with PowerShell. Hope it helps?

Well I went through your file and saw all the prerequisite already installed . Very strange that the launcher fails to start.

Just what was different in both our systems that U have Avast and I do not . I can’t be too sure that the Avast antivirus is creating an issue but try disabling and reinstalling no harm in giving a try . Your call.

I tried, the problem still remains even with deactivating Avast.
Repairing and Un- and Reinstalling doesn’t work.

Sorry man tried and failed U yet again

I have the same error, did u fix it your problem ?
