Do we have to type out our hlsl code for a custom material expression in a different editor then copy it all and then paste it into that tiny code box ?
I can’t seem to get the code window(like the udn has shown for hlsl custom expression) to show no matter what i do.

I’m also wondering is there special UE4 HLSL Syntax or does pure hlsl work ?
Nvidia hlsl examples from FXComposer work in our inhouse engine and in the FXComposer but they spit out garbage errors like HLSL Error X3000 syntax error unexpected token {
Since I posted this I found out you cannot declare new variables, scripts, or functions in the node itself. That would explain my errors. Also the node isn’t fully implemented yet.
