I’ve been searching for a way to do this, but cannot find the answer:
My level (well, actually the entire game) is completely generated at runtime. (No two game experiences are ever the same.) I’m trying to add a navigation mesh so I can start adding AI characters to my game. Unfortunately, everything I’ve seemed to search up here is for an older version of the engine and does not seem to apply. In fact, the only navigation item I seem to be able to spawn into my level is the Recast Nav Mesh. (Which doesn’t seem to show up anywhere to give me any clue that anything actually was created.)
What BP node do I need to use to add a navigation mesh to my level? All the other aspects of my game prototype are complete, now I’m needing to add AI to provide obstacles (enemies) to hinder the player from reaching the goals systems I’ve already implemented.
Fortunately, my game is at a point where it’s a heck of a lot of fun to play test, so I’m up for trying a bunch of things if necessary. (But I really want to get this into place ASAP.) Implementing this AI is probably my weakest area, as far as the programming goes. I apologize if this has been covered before, but I have not been able to find it.
