Can't turn off cinematic preview/viewport.

Hey guys,
I unintentionally turned on the cinematic preview (the black bars on top and bottom, saying no level sequencer found). Now i cant turn it off… when i turn off the “cinematic preview” at the top left of the viewport, nothing changes.

Thanks for your help!

I have the same issue.
My current work around:

  1. Go to window->viewports and open a second viewport tab.
  2. Click the upper left corner of viewport 1 !
  3. Now close viewport 1.
  4. Reopen viewport 1 from window->viewports menu.

This at least works for me. Hope it helps until the bug is resolved.

UPDATE:
Just figured out that my answer is obsolete. The easy way is to simply hit shift-d in the selected viewport.

  1. Shift-d for default viewport.
  2. Shift-c for cinematic viewport.

Shift-c for cinematic viewport.

Using UE 4.20, my solution is to SELECT a viewport I don’t use at that moment, select the CameraActor I want to work with, so that when I select another viewport, making sure to not change the selected object by using the menu button in each viewport, the preview doesn’t follow and hide what I’m trying to edit.

Wasn’t obselete F4Q, I had the same issue and could only resolve it by your first answer :slight_smile: Ty

Clicking the “Perspective” button gives you an option to switch between “Default Viewport” and “Cinematic Viewport.”
