I’ve been trying to setup a splash screen for a daydream game as per: https://developers.google.com/vr/unr...ur_application
However the resulting image/splash screen is uncomfortably close to the camera - you almost go cross eyed trying to focus on it to begin with. Is there anyway to change the distance? Or some other tip?
The loading splash screen for Daydream is handled by Google so would be best to ask them.
Any idea where to contact them or who to contact? Not finding any officially developer support location for daydream …
The latest version of the googlevr plugin has a new node to set the distance of the splash screen: https://developers.google.com/vr/unreal/release-notes
Will UE4 be getting the latest updates from the google branch or does that mean UE4 will stay with this unreleasable daydream plugin? Means daydream projects will forever be 4.13 as it does not look like google will be upgrading - and with many of BP our projects on 4.14 already there is no way to downgrade

Is containing a set distance node in the 4.15 binary UE4 version
Dear Chris Babcock. Thank you for your time. There is nobody at Google to talk to. I cannot find an e-mail. I cannot find a number to call. It’s in Epic’s best interest to clearly document these kinds of routine things. I am grateful for the UE4 engine. I am grateful for the help you and other members of your staff provide.
FYI: from 4.15 on this now works in the Epic branch
