Hello.
I am trying to figure out if it is possible to export specific sections of an Unreal Engine 4 level, back into a 3d modelling application using the FBX format.
So scale, rotation and position of the objects should be exactly like they are in the UE4 level.
I imagine that a way better solution for creating specific animations and simulations for a cutscene in matinee.
I saw some video a while ago about the making of the explosion used in the “Infiltrator” demo.
As far as I can remember the video showcased the FBX import of an entire scene from 3ds max into Unreal.
But not the other way round.
I am trying to create a short demo in Unreal, so any help on this topic would be appreciated.
Because if it turns out you can’t export from Unreal back into 3ds max I would have to build the environments in 3ds max and then export entire scenes as one FBX file.
Any help with this would be appreciated.
