Hello guys ! I’m working with the spline tools within multiple sub-levels, and meet some problems:
Currently the world terrain was generated by world machine and was divided into several sub-levels in order for level streaming. Now there’s a path leading from POINT A (in sub level 1) to POINT B (in sub level 2), I paint the path with the spline tool, and use the deform tool to make the landscape fit the spline path. But I can’t find a way to connect splines within two different sub levels. I attached a picture and an editor shot to explain the problem. Thank you very much !!
Actually I tried to drag the anchor to the outside of the sub level region, but only the current sub level’s landscape will be deformed and it won’t affect another, that’s why makes it hard to adjust the connection area.
Are you using World Composition (there is a checkbox in the World Settings to enable it)? It allows you to make a tiled landscape which is usually created within a landscape generator(for example World Machine) and then imported into Unreal. Using landscape splines works without any problems.
I’m not sure but i guess it’s not possible if you have two single landscapes.
Wanted to test this for myself, so did the simplest check I could of having a landscape spline go across two different map tiles. As long as the levels in question are loaded and the Persistent Level is set to Current, there doesn’t seem to be any problem (at least on 4.20, but you’d hope the functionality would still be there in later versions).
