Making custom trees sway in the wind

I’ve created a very simple tree in max and imported it into ue4. I was wondering how I would go about making it sway in the wind. Right now, I only have the static mesh and it’s fairly low poly. Here’s a picture of the tree -

Never mind dear UE4 users, I found a way. I used the simplegrasswind expression found in the material editor. I got it to target a vertex painted mesh so that only the leafs would sway in the wind. Here’s the material -

having a little trouble with this myself, does the above blueprint create movement that reacts to change in wind direction & strength?

I don’t think so since its based on the simplegrasswind expression.

ok, thanks for the quick answer.

Hi Ravneson, did you manage to sway your tree in the direction your wind is blowing? How can I do that?
My tree is a low poly (comic, art style) and the wind affects the gameplay of my game. Trees won`t interact with gameplay, but they should help the player “feel” the wind and make decisions…

got the same question here.

did you find anything?
