I’ve had this problem for a really long time and it’s really frustrating I can’t figure out a fix for it.
Each time I try to render a sequence the movie preview stays black with a white box at the bottom right.
I tried some suggestions for similar problems, for ie. deleting all sequences that reference another level etc. But nothing seems to have worked.
You mean generally? No, my sequence is empty so I can play from the player’s camera and render it. But it won’t work. It’s the same on the other sequences that have actual camera movement and object transform changes.
What I tried is to isolate the part of the terrain that this sequence is playing on and move it to another level, but it only works if I reimport everything so I don’t keep the content that is placed on that level.
It happens on all sublevels of my main world composition level.
Not sure I understand. If your sequence is completely blank the movie render will render from the default player position since you’re not indicating what camera to look through. If you have a camera you want to render through, you’ll need to create a camera cut track and point it at the camera you want to render from:
No, my point is that none of them works on the game map, doesn’t matter if they have a camera cut or not. Even the ones like with a cut like on the image below, all of them go black and freeze the engine, that is the problem.
But I found a temporary solution just redoing the maps on another level without world composition works.
